One text or call, and we plan your day on the water: a family half day close to shore, or a full day offshore.
Guanacaste has hundreds of miles of Pacific coast, from the border with Nicaragua down the Nicoya Peninsula. We pick up from beaches along all of it.
More of our boats can come here too. Ask us about any of them. Prices are for the whole boat.

Guanacaste is a province, not one beach, so tell us where you are staying. The boat comes to the beach nearest your hotel and waits about 100 m out, and a dinghy brings you out to it. These are the beaches we pick up from:

4 hours
Inshore, close to the beach you leave from: rocky points, reefs and islands, for roosterfish and snapper.
6 hours
A longer day: more of the coast inshore, or a run out to deep water.
8 hours
The full day, out in the deep water where the billfish are.
Every boat, with its own rates for each length, is on the Fleet page.

Rocky points, reefs and islands all along the coast, close to every beach we pick up from.
What you can catch

Deep Pacific water off the whole coast, for the big game on the full-day trips.
What you can catch
What bites changes month by month. See the species page.

From the beach nearest your hotel, anywhere from Playa El Jobo in the north down to Samara and Garza in the south. The boat waits off the beach, and a dinghy brings you out to it. Tell us where you are staying and we confirm the beach.
Not every boat reaches every beach. Some leave only from Flamingo, Samara or Garza. Tell us where you are staying, and we come back with the boats that can reach you.
By road, about 30 minutes to Playa Hermosa, 40 minutes to Playas del Coco, 1 hour to Flamingo or Conchal, 1 hour 10 minutes to Tamarindo and 2 hours to Samara.
Yes. Boats leave from Tamarindo beach and pass through Las Baulas, a marine park where leatherback turtles nest. No one fishes inside the park, so the fishing starts past it.
Yes, the boats go out all year. If a storm or a rough sea makes the day unsafe, the captain calls it off, and we move your trip or give your money back.
Close to shore: roosterfish and cubera snapper, both released. Offshore: sailfish and marlin, released too, plus dorado, yellowfin tuna and wahoo. It depends on the season and the day.
Yes. Costa Rica requires one by law for every angler, tourists included. It is not part of the charter price. You buy it online from INCOPESCA before the trip. Apply for the license

Send us your dates, your group and your hotel. We find the boats that can reach your beach, and tell you the price.
