Are prices per person or per boat?
Per boat, not per person. The price you see covers the entire boat for your group, regardless of how many people you bring (up to the boat's capacity).
What's included in the charter price?
All fishing equipment (Shimano & Penn tackle, rods, reels, GPS, fish finder), water, sodas, local beer, snacks, fresh fruit, and lunch on 8-hour trips. Bait is included; live bait when available.
Do you pick up at my hotel?
Yes, at most major resorts. The boat waits about 100 m off the beach, and a dinghy brings you out to it. Where no boat can reach, we arrange ground transport. We cover the coast from Culebra Bay and Peninsula Papagayo down through Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa, Playa Flamingo, Playa Conchal, and Playa Potrero. Confirm your hotel when you book and we'll arrange the exact pickup point.
Can I take the fish home?
You can take frozen fish fillets home in your checked luggage. Shipping fish from Costa Rica is not permitted. Our crew will clean and bag your catch at the end of the trip.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. Costa Rica requires a fishing license by law for every angler, tourists included. It is not part of the charter price. You buy it before the trip, online through INCOPESCA, at a small cost. Feel free to ask, we can provide guidance. Apply for the license
What if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule your trip at no extra charge or provide a full refund. Cancellations with 3 days advance notice are always fully refunded.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, light layers, and any seasickness medication if you're prone to motion sickness. We provide everything else, just bring your excitement.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance during peak season (December–April). Last-minute bookings may be possible depending on availability, just send us a text.
